This section applies exclusively to delivery drivers using the NextLogistics Driver Companion application. End users and website visitors are not subject to location data collection.
We collect precise (GPS) location data from your mobile device, including in the background (even when the app is closed or not in use). This includes geographic coordinates (latitude and longitude), location accuracy, device identifier, and timestamp of each location reading.
Location data collection begins when you log in to the app and continues in the background at regular intervals (approximately every 90 seconds when you are moving). Collection automatically stops at 21:00 (9:00 PM) each day. Your precise location is also recorded at the moment you accept or decline a delivery.
Your location data is shared with your employer (the logistics company operating the TMS platform) for fleet management, delivery coordination, and operational oversight.
Location audit logs are retained for one (1) month from the date of collection and then permanently deleted. Delivery event locations (proof of delivery/decline) are retained as part of the delivery record for as long as needed to fulfill legal and business obligations.
Before location collection begins, you are presented with an in-app disclosure and must grant explicit permission. On Android 10 and above, you are separately prompted to allow background location access.
